I have seen 19mpg if straight highway trip keeping it under 2000rpm (too slow for interstate). Normal hwy mileage is mid 17's to low 18's depending on speed. Faster I go faster my mileage drops. I get 15-16 if just driving around town. Smarty jr bought me 1-1.5 mpg. (all hand calculated) Chip

new truck is 06 mud tires stock except cold air box. 485miles 30 gallons for the tires are i add 2.8 % for tires i am around 16.2 with 70% hwy at 72 mph. but on this last tank i drove 200 miles with a 20 mph stready headwind. I got 200 miles on the 1st quater of the tank i stop filling win it clicks off. i fill up as soon as the light comes on. the afe fully enclosed box gave me a solid 1mpg. i will let you know what the smarty does when i get it on. bottom line 14.5 city prolly and 17 hwy. i think this is the common real world number for us 4x4 oversized mud tire fellas. if i slowed to 65 street tires smarty bed cover i am sure i could prolly push 19-20 hwy. 65 is not a real world speed for me.

06 2500 w/Banks Stinger Package, stock other than that. I get 600 to 650. That's mostly highway, I'd say 75%. I found that at 45 to 55 mph my milage is between 23 and 25mpg. As soon as I get her up to 70 it's about 19mpg. Before you guys get all excited about your mileage make sure your odometers are right. Check it against a GPS or the mile markers on an interstate. Mine is off by 2% and it's all stock, go figure.

The best I have EVER seen outta my truck was 320. What size tank do these trucks have? When the light comes on till the pump clicks off is 24 gal. I estimated I had about a 26 gal. tank... is that right?

Ok so Ive determined that I have an odd truck. My fuel light goes on with 4-5 gallons left in the tank lol. On another note, my truck is bone stock with 8,500 on the ticker and here goes my tanks 488.4 miles - 16.66mpg (almost all highway) 422.4 miles - 13.42mpg (almost all suburban) 488.3 miles - 16.74mpg (almost all highway)

I went to 560.7 miles and filled it with 31.238 gallons of fuel recently. It hand calc'ed to 17.95 mpg. The low fuel light was not on, the gauge showed just under 1/8th. The DTE showed 140.1 remaining. It's rare that I let it get much below 1/2 tank to fill it.

Wish I could get the wife to fill 'er up around a quarter tank, she lets the needle go below zero, and the DTE has been zero for a "while".
