The Beast:1 - SRT-8 Grand Cherokee:0

Had my first decent opportunity to test out the new ladder bars Saturday night. Leaving the AMC 24 in Highlands Ranch (in CO), getting on to C-470 and noticed a Brilliant Black SRT-8 next to me, waiting at the light. It sounded pretty pi$$ed off (exhaust and an intake are my guess). Im pretty sure he noticed my about his Jeep, so he piped me. My girlfriend asked if it was time to see what it could do and I answered....."yes". Light turned green, he pulled on me (keep in mind we were starting off in a turn on the on ramp), he had me by a truck length, and it wasnt very long before I reeled him in and passed him , with a big smile on my face and my girlfriend laughing her a$$ off! He flew by me a few minutes later and gave me a thumbs up. Made for the perfect ending, for what was a good night!

Yeah no joke, I wasnt even sure if I was going to catch him. It sounded that good that I did hesitate a little bit.... Keep in mind too that we are at 5,280+ ft in elevation.

I am not sure, I have yet to race somewhere a little closer to sea level. I wouldnt think that it would be that big of a difference because turbos create their own atmoshere (forced induction), but I could be wrong.... I would like to go to a big diesel event somewhere closer to sea level in the next few months to see how it does, but I dont even have it dialled in up here yet....

Your truck (in your sig) sounds exactly like one I was looking at before I bought my 06. The Flame Red is such a sick color in a Sport!!!!!! Especially with the right amount of black on it!

I heard they loss a little, but i have yet to see a side by side with the same truck. so who really knows lol

I know that jeep lost a good 5tenths from your elevation to mine. My track is at a wooping 66ft ....DA for me is anywhere from -100 to 800 maybe a 1000 on a real humid day
