You need to get an A/C guage and check to be sure that is your problem. It IS possible to overcharge your system and damage it.....

not to hijack but maybe yall can help me also. this 06 did the same as my last 06.

first off it was blowing harder on the dr side than pass. now it did the same thing my old 06 did. its blowing but sound like all the air is just being blown into the dash on th pass side and not much air comes out of any vents.

last time it was under warrenty so i didnt have to worry aoubt fixin it. this time is a diff story. some one said something about pulling a flap down, but where is it?

do i take the blower motor out then look for it bc i cant see anything under there right now.

there are 3 torx screws that hold the blower motor up take it off and see if the recirc door broke it prob it covering the fan

Thanks so much !! i bought the r134 kit at walmart for 35.00 came with 3 cans of r134 and pressure guage , At first i didnt read the directions , you
MUST HAVE ENGINE RUNNING WITH A/C ON MAX SETTING to get a accurate reading , in fact my dads system was so low it took 2 cans to get it to the recommended 25-45 psi .

Truck Blows Ice Cold A/c now !!!

At the bottom of this page
Air Conditioning Troubleshooting and Repair
Is a nice chart that will help you in checking pressures on your AC system. You will notice that at 100 degrees it will only blow 52~60 out the ducts, not the 38 to 42 we used to get with R-12 I remember the days when you would actually see frost on the vents.

So you can see that it is very important to have the recirc door working, fresh air in when you first start the system to exaust the 140 degree air then when it cools a bit switch to recirc to get the vent temps down to 40.

And from what I have heard . . . it helps the AC cool much better when you install a bypass in the cooling system to take the heater core out of the picture.
