What brand of kits have you purchased? I have a set of Pilot HID's on mine. They are the 8000K and are the same blue as your headlights. My son has a set of the Pilot 8000K in a 9006 bulb in his chevy that are the same as our fogs. They look the same blue as your headlights. We have not had them side by side to know for sure, but I can check that tonight and let you know.
Mine is the 9007 HI/LOW kit, but I never use the brights. I am still using my britebox, but when I flip my brights on, I get no more light as the HID's are so bright. I'm trying to find a 9006 bulb to match the color of the HID's. I like running my fogs all the time to light up just in front of me. But the yellow color of the stock bulbs looks like crap against the HID's.
I had to make a big adjustment to my headlights after the HID install as they were shining way too low. Trying to get depth out of them really lights up the windshield of the oncoming cars and I get flashed alot. I'm not sure how I like them yet as I think I had a longer throw of light with my silverstars on bright. Thought about adding some driving lights but get into the color thing again. I like them untill I get out of the open road and need more depth. The older I get the more light I need.
trust me.... the HID lights in the fog lights put out more light farther than the headlights..... its a HUGE difference..... all three fog light kits i bought have been off of e-bay....

I have been looking into an HID system myself. I am looking at the 8000k ones. I have read that the digital ones are better because they have built in igniter's on the ballast and not external igniter's. Which one have you guys had the best luck on and whats the best price for one? Seems like there are many systems out there. I just want the best one and one that wont break the wallet. Thanks.
to be honest to god with you, all 5 of the e-bay kits i have gone through are really nice kits, all have been plug and play... im just fighting colors.... and they all have been 200 or less dollars...

Right on.... I will continue to look at some deals in the mean time...If anyone else has had some good experience with a quality HID system, Im all ears!
Well I pulled mine next to my son's last night. We have the same brand (Pilot). Mine are 9007, his are 9006. Looking at them head-on they look the same. But shining them on a brick wall side by side, they are not even close. Mine seem to have a more blue tint while his seem to have an almost green shade to them.
His are about 5 months older than mine, so I don't know if age has anything to do with it. Also, my lenses are clear while he has the stock deflector lens on a 2000 chevy.
Both of these kit were about $200 shipped.
If you replace the fog light bulbs with Sylvania, Cool Blue or Silverstars, the color should match your HID's:
Fog/Driving light
9006LL
9006SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen
9006ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
9006XV XtraVision Halogen Upgrade: Up to 20% Brighter
9006CB Cool Blue Halogen Upgrade: White Hot; Super Cool

I put the silverstars that my son had in his chevy in my fogs and they still look yellow. They don't match at all. It is a lot closer than the stock bulb though. I have been looking for another bulb to replace it with. I think it was a Nokya bulb? I'll have to check when I get home.
i wonder if the 9006 bulb is just a pain in the a$$.... haha.... i was thinking of getting the 9005 conversion from geno's and ordering a set of 9005 h.i.d's and seeing if they might match better....
