anyone mount a generator on their G56 PTO?

I am considering adding a generator to my truck for portable power. I saw an episode of extreme 4x4 a while back and they added one to a GMC 3500 to do a build up for wd40, then they auctioned the truck off for charity after they were finished using it. Anyway, with the G56 having PTO access on either side, and I have heard (I havent checked on mine yet), that the transfer case has a PTO output also.
Well long story short I found this generator, anyone use or do anythning like this? GENERATOR - PTO POWERED - 13 kW - 2 Year Warranty - eBay (item 140202740396 end time Jul-21-09 04:16:02 PDT)

you could do that on your transmission but the transfer case has no PTO access on any truck that i know of.

I found on a website somewhere that the g56 pto can handle accessories up to 35 hp. The generator linked above is rated at 24 hp. So that should work. I am ions of wondering if the input of the generator bolts up to the output of the g56 or if it needs additional bracing?? Hopefully someone has done this.

curious about this as well. I know that the generator you found on Ebay is the same one that Northern Tool carries.

Yep. That's why it's important to have a hertz meter on PTO driven generators.

I am pretty sure that the pto option is only good at idle, an I am pretty sure it is only one constant speed. Also I believe pto generators mus have a transmission of sorts, because I believe 480 rpms is a pretty standard speed for pto's. I could be completely wrong, but This is what I have heard.
