Just my .02. Try unhooking the two lights on the bumper and see if that works. But check the bulbs frist in the light assembly.

Check for voltage after the lights. Check for voltage before the lights. Check for voltages at the connectors leading to the lights. Check for voltage leaving the switch. Check for voltage going into the switch.

Get a wiring diagram and a DMM, essentially.

same problem.

I am having the same issue (still). Lamps are good new switch on tranny cannot find any fuse mrked for reverse or reverse for trailer. (trailers reverse lights don'twork either). I'm an electrician, have al kinds of meters ,so I know I'm not getting powerto my switch, but cannot find any other fuses than under the hood. I'm ready to run a new circuit from my battery the same time I'm wiring my driving lites.
le me knowwhat you find out.

You can find the wiring diagram here. Dodge Body Builder Guide

There are two circuits to the backup lamp feed. One is the backup lamp switch and the other is the actual power feed to the lamps.

The switch circuit is looking for a ground to complete the circuit. The switch is located on the side of the transmission. check to make sure the switch is operating correctly. If you unplug the switch connector and ground pin 2 the backup lights should come on. You have to have the ign switch on for it to work. If the lights come on by doing this then the switch is bad or out of adjustment.

If it's an automatic, you have a Transmission Range Sensor.
It's located about the middle of the transmission, just above the pan on the drivers side.

If you have a Manual, the switch should be located at the back of the transmission, at the top on the passengers side.

If you look at the body builders guide under connector/ground/splice locations they're on page 8W-91-33 & 8W-91-34
