I bet nobody has had this LEAK

I was under the dash this morning doing some wiring for some new gauges when I noticed a drop of fluid hanging from the brake shaft where it goes into the firewall. It turned out to be Power Steering fluid, how is it coming out of the brake pedal linkage shaft ( Power Steering fluid is still on the full mark )

............ I jinxed myself because last week I was telling a buddy of mine how this was my second Dodge and neither one had ever been back to the dealer after purchasing them!

You think so huh? You mean like this?

That's after cleaning it up and taking a 15 minute drive. Still have a little warranty left and I'm fighting the dealer to replace the hydroboost unit (it is power steering fluid ATF+4). They claim it to be "assembly fluid". Please.

That's it, is yours leaking just a drop or so?

Yep. Just enough to be a nuisance for now. Seems to be worse when its warmer outside. Power Steering fluid is getting past a seal somewhere in the hydroboost system and finding its way out around the input shaft. So far the dealer I took it to has used about every excuse not to replace it. For now I'm keeping a watchful eye on it and will take it somewhere else when the leak gets a little more obvious.

It wasnt bad, just a few drops. The only reason I noticed it was cause I was hooking up my edge box. The bottom of the shaft was wet and I could see were I had been dripping behind the carpet.
I never notice any mechanical difference, just got lucky and spotted it.
If your under warranty, I'd take it in.

If you step on the brakes very hard does it drip faster? Or does it drip just idling?

I never did anything with it, straight to the dealer and let them fix it.
