need help power steering pump

I have an 06 2500, My power steering pump started to leak, no big deal, picked up a remanned pump. Problem is that the pulley will not come off the original pump. I have tried using a two jaw puller and not even a budge. I heated it with a propane torch (hottest thing I've got) and still no movement. Is there a trick? Has anyone else had to do this job?

you need a power steering pump pulley puller. a two or three jaw pullers will just bend pulley then you'll have to replace it. Mine is a snap on but i'm sure there is cheaper. check harbor freight tools.

Thank you for the advice, I actually noticed the pulley start to flex with the big puller, the small puller actually grabs on to the hub of the pulley but still no movement. I will look up one of these specialty pullers.

try AUto Zone, i know they rent tools, but i dont know about this. If not go to a local shop and have them remove the pulley and install it on your new PS pump as there is also an install tool. They might charge you about $20, or they might do it for free.
