I'm going to be removing my stock muffler and cat but I have a question about the alignment of the stock downpipe and tailpipe.
If you remove the stock muffler and cat, does the stock downpipe and tailpipe align so you can install a staight thru muffler without using any special bend piece(s)?
I was looking at the downpipe and tailpipe and it doesn't seem like they line up correctly to be able to do that.
If there is a special part, where is the best place to get it?

It will work but if you simply install a long piece of straight pipe then the only issue, if you consider it an issue, is that the angle of the exhaust tip will change. I did it on my 03 with no problems. Genosgarage.com sells a muffler delete pipe with the bends in it if you are concerned though.....

Yah, a muffler delete will work if the bends are fairly close together. I got 2 45's and got them welded together to make the offset so the tail pipe didn't change:
Cat is still in, 40" Nelson muffler.
