I have been stock piling a few parts here and there....and slowing installing them:
Used ATS 2pc Pulse Flow
Cometic Gaskets (well worth the $$$$):
The manifold is in sad shape, but it was a really good price. The manifold is currently getting coated in a silver, high temp ceramic finish. It won't be back for 3 weeks, which will give me time to look for a turbo
Rear diff cover, MH 11.50:
I am very impressed with the sizem finish, and overall quality of this diff cover:
I am still not sure what cover to get, if any, for the front diff. The MH has been reported to hit adjustable track bars on lifted trucks, so I might look into the PML cover. Both axles will be filled with Amsoil, either 75W-90 or 75W-110.

Now for a simple, cheap, and easy upgrade.......I always thought the stock tcase lever was too low.
I had to lean forward and take my eye slightly off the road.
I learned that some Jeep's tcase levers use the same thread pitch/pattern (M10x1.5mm) as my truck. Jeep owners use this extension piece after a body lift is installed.
I bought a bare aluminum off Ebay for $10, scuffed up the finish and used some epoxy paint.
Pop the knob's top cap off, use a socket to remove the nut (metric, dont recall the size) and unscrew the knob from the post. I thought the knob was held in place by the nut, it is also screwed on tightly.
Stock:
Reinstall everything and voila!......very comfortable height, at a great level to use.

So, with this cannister, install is cake! I DO NOT have to cut, splice, or do anything with the fuel filler neck.
I can drop the tank and NOT have to worry about removing the large bed.
Additionally, I DO NOT have to measure, cut, or worry about the draw straw length.
Lastly, I DO NOT have to pop a hole in the fuel tank!
I simply remove the stock cannister and drop in the replacement cannister. How much more easy can that be?
The kits can be purchased for you to modify on your stock cannister or you can get the whole, entire cannister.........like I did.

I also installed PIAA bulbs into the fog lights and into the headlights. HUGE difference, well worth the time and price.
Changing out the bulbs was not as easy as just swapping the bulbs, the entire driver side and passenger side headlamp assemblies had to be removed from the truck.
Still, it was not a PITA, since it was only 3 mounting bolts holding the headlamp assemblies to the truck.
I bought the modified cannister from Chris at HDR Diesel:
The truck is currently all apart and the Air Dog 150, Glacier Eliminator Bracket, and the modified HDR Diesel cannister are being installed.....
I am doing the install by myself, so this has been a 3 day project......should be all done and back up running this evening!
I cannot stress how nice and easy the AD 150 install was, thanks to the modified cannister!
Pics and info to follow!

I worked a ton over the winter months and saved up.....plus, I shopped around and got some really great deals on the parts.
I will be saving up for a new turbo in a few months.
I do not want twins, just a better performing turbo that will drop right in. I also just bought an ATS 2pc Pulse Flow exhaust manifold, that will be used/installed at the same time I put a new turbo in the truck.
I have seen that some buy an 04.5-07 turbo and see very nice performance increases. However, I really do not want to mess with the 04.5 and newer elbow, since my 5" turbo back exhaust is welded up to the stock elbow and would rather leave it in place.
I will not be sled pulling or doing anything competition related. I would like to keep the overall 'feel' of the stock turbo, but be able to flow more with more PSI.
With my stock turbo, I can hit 35-37 PSI, with the adjustable boost elbow. At about 26 PSI and higher, the noise of the turbo really changes tone and sounds like it is way out of it efficiency range.
My major concerns are (not in any special order):
-Spooling/Lag time
-EGTs
-Being 110% bolt-on
Stock HE3541
54/58/9
04.5-07 HE351:
60/60/9
BD Super Single:
57/65/14
BD Super Special:
64/71/14
HTT:
62/65/13
Swapping in an HE351 would be very easy and affordable, since I can find no/low mileage units for $400.
However,
Since I will be using an ATS 2pc Pulse Flow....I think the additional money spent on an aftermarket turbo might be worthwile.
So, what should I look for?? THANKS!

I installed an Air Dog 150, Glacier Fuel Cannister Eliminator Bracket, and the modified HDR Diesel fuel cannister.
I so happy I went with the HDR Diesel cannister, because it made the install alot easier compared to having to install a draw straw or even modify my stock fuel cannister.
I drove it around for a 15 miles, to make sure there were not any leaks or malfuctions. The Air Dog pump can be heard, but it not loud at all. At idle when the motor is running, I cant heard it. I only hear it when it is priming the system.
I can honestly say that the truck feels stronger, especially when going from a dead stop or when mashing down on the pedal at about 30 MPH, it just pulls alot smoother and faster.....it is like the stock pump just could not keep up and the fuel flow is now readily available.
Glacier Bracket:
Left over and stock parts:
I now have a few leftover electrical connections just hanging around, from the cannister. Can I just put some dielectric grease over the connectors and then seeal them up inside a ziploc baggy?

I gota get some money together!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice job! How did you hide all of this from the Ol' Lady? Any pointers to all the married guys?
My wife makes more than me, and she only works 3 days a week!!
I worked some OT over the winter with intetions of soley using half the OT money towards my truck.....which ended up being less than half, but I still got to buy what I want to!
