charging trouble

Hi there new to this. Im having a major problem with what seems to be my charging system. I have a 2004 cummins,6spd. My volt gauge seems to dive down to 0,then the check gauges light comes on.I have replaced both batteries and the alternator. The reason i replaced both batts is that they had both basically boiled over.I had the alt checked, was told to replace it.So replaced batts and alt. worked good for 2 days, now today it did the same thing, alternator was to hot to touch, i shut truck off in order to save batts and hopefully the alt.2 codes come up , they are (1) charging system output voltage, (2) battery temperature sensor performance. Any kinda help would be great . I live 300miles from the nearest dodge dealer,so trying to figure this out.Thanx Cummins6by6

chrysler loves those Nippo alternators and to regulate them with the ecm. My guess would be the charge regulating circuit of the ecm is bad. Start vehicle and ckeck with a good meter. If its 15V or over, thats the problem.
