think i've got a gremlin

so the 'lamp out' light has been coming on in my truck and for the life of me i can't figure out which bulb the truck thinks is out. i thought it was the right rear, but this morning when i started the truck it was the left turn signal that was flashing quick. i was thinking about getting led lights soon, will new taillights take care of this or is there a problem in the wiring?

are both of your flashers working on the left side? they usually only blink fast when one is burned out cus the excess power makes the blinker work faster.

I had this same problem, and pulled the taillight assemblies and applied dielectric grease to each of the bulbs and that solved the problem. I have read that the tail lamp circuit boards are prone to failure on the 03 and 04s, and you can get them pretty cheap off of Ebay, they are around $27 shipped for a pair.
