Just bought this 07 yesterday. 104,000 miles and only 6,000 of them in the past 3 years. Everything seems to work good. Just needs front end aligned. Who would have guessed that? Previous owner says it has an 8 inch lift. He said he ran 37's on it and went to 35's when he bought new tires the last time. They are 35x12.50's on stock rims. It has 2" spacers behind the duals and 4" spacers between the duals. They stick out a LONG way. WAY too far for me to like. But the tires are so wide they have to have the spacers. But as far as the height of the tires they look good on the truck in my opinion. Which is why I'm thinking that this may only be a 5 or 6 inch lift. What do you think?
Thanks! Yeah I like it a lot! And I figure you guys are right about it being a 6". The track bars are tough country, the steering stabilizers are skyjacker, and I haven't looked at the rest yet. Anyway. How do you guys think the 35's look? I personally like them. I just wish they were a tad bit narrower. When I replace them what do you think I should go with?
I think they would look good under there really. Previous owner said the reason he went from 37 to 35 is because he had trouble with the 37's... I'm not sure what that means. Death wobble maybe? I just know he said he recommends stayin with the 35's. Is it possible to get a 35 that's any narrower than the 12.50's?
The only reason is because I don't like the rear outside duals being almost completely out from under the fender. They are almost as wide as the mirrors! Lol. If I could take the spacers off they would be fine. But I can't take the spacers off because the duals will rub together...
you could put 2in spacers between them that would help some, I actually planned on doing 35s on my dually so i got 2in spacers and decided to go with 37x13.5s so i got to buy 3in spacers, i can sell you my 2in spacers if interested they haven't even been installed yet
Yeah 2 inch spacer would help a lot in place of the 4". I may look into that and do some measuring and I'll pm you about your spacers.
As far as mods I haven't done anything yet. It has an afe intake and a straight pipe and a southbend clutch. I'm gonna put my smarty on it and drive the heck out of it lol
those are some big spacers. and if you decide to change out spacers maybe we could just trade or something cause I need at least 3in to make these damn 37x13.5s not rub
Nothing to add about the lift, just wanted to say that is a killer looking truck!
