Mine took a dump on the last week and the local parts house wants $400 for one. There has got to be a better/ cheaper place to get one that has good compressors. Im all about a better deal but I dont want a cheap built part that isnt going to last either. Where have you guys gotten yours? Thanks.
I did and their prices seem good. I just dont know if the quality is there. Ya know what I mean. Thats why I was asking you guys for opinions. I just hate to buy something if the quality isnt there.
Yea I figured the dealer would want a fortune. I didn't think it was bad. And 1 yr warranty no matter what. A lot of parts stores make u buy a dryer and other stuff to get the warranty
RockAuto normally sells the same stuff as the local places for less, and then some. As someone else stated Amazon is on par a lot of time with RockAuto's prices sometimes being slightly more or slightly less but also offering Prime shipping on a lot of the stuff if you have that membership.
How is the Valair compressor/components different/better than the other options out there? Just wondering for this spring when I fix my system.
I don't know if it's the compressor or the clutch that locked up, but either way it shredded my belt. I was thinking of just replacing everything anyways, 170K miles.
Check with your local Keystone Automotive branch. I work at a location in Jacksonville, FL and Im pulling up pricing on a new one for $200 . Part number ACP010631
