Noticed this a few weeks ago and thought it was one of the symptoms of my driver side unit bearing going out. Got the bearing assy replaced, wobble is still there. Only happens when turning, and turning right is WAY worse than when turning left. Its like the wheel/tire is just snaking thru the turn trying to find a good path. I know my steering stabilizer needs replaced, but what other component(s) should I be looking at to fix this? Kinda scared me going thru a gradual turn in the road at 35 mph, when the steering wheel is just shaking back and forth in your hand. Could ball joints be the culprit? My mechanic said the right side joints are starting to go out, but that I had some time left before they need replaced. My wife is going to s*** if I need to put the truck back in the shop a third time within a month lol. Any help with this would help guys.
Front axle u-joints. Mine did same thing. Nice afternoon of work in driveway. About $50 for new ones. ( I'm cheap) quote for work here in GA was $150 /side parts extra.
Shop probably didn't know how hard the hubs are to get out. Shop press would have been helpful instead of the loaner ball joint press I used. Anti seize on hubs. Now on will be an hour job
