06 qclb SLT, auto, 4x4 with 230k mostly highway mileage driven by an older couple. Recent injectors with new Bosch stock sticks, lots of front end steering and suspension parts replaced, upgraded clutches in trans with a triple disc convertor, new LTX tires, has banks exhaust and intake, spotless interior and very clean exterior as well. I don't really need another truck but my buddys folks offered it to me for $16k......thoughts??
230,000 is still a lot of miles to me. There was a super clean 04 I was looking at that had 250,000 and was asking 14,500 obo. All stock except for a 3" lift and wheels and tires. Mine is a Laramie also. A local ford dealership just had a 07 5.9 with 77,000 miles on it, 6" lift with wheels and tires. They were selling for 26,000.
Down south they go cheaper because there's very little rust activity....in Michigan a rust free truck is worth a mint! I went all the way down to south Florida to buy my megacab
Makes sense. I didn't notice you were from Michigan. Considering the difference in cost of living, I would say that truck would be a pretty decent deal for you then.
I have mine for sale at $25k. Truck was from Arizona and is still shows assembly line chalk on the axles. Trying to buy a '14 ...we'll see what happens. I'm in Duluth, MN btw...these trucks seem to be hard to find around here or at least not many for sale. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Lol why do you think I don't have 3 or 4 trucks already! The First one just got 15k worth of goodies to include compounds and a firepunk trans so its pretty happy at the moment!!
The dealership here just offered $21,000 to buy my 2006 4x4 Laramie with 97,000 miles. I'm going to see if they will go $22,000 and will probably sell it to them.
I could probably list it and maybe get $24,000. But I still owe money on it so the buyer would have to wait for the title and I just don't know how long it would take. Maybe I should just list it. I hate to sell it but I'm going through a divorce.
Thanks guys....its a nice rig that's been taken care of so I figured what the heck! I will probably just throw a plow on it and use it to keep my driveway clear next winter! It won't get much use once my mega is all back together and on the road again
