Hey guys, need some ideas on my issue. I just converted my DRW to a SRW. I put on a SRW bed and new wheels/tires (Falken P265/R75/16 WildPeak AT ties on 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 stock wheels). Turns out, new wheels/tires fit fine on rear, however; front wheels are rubbing against steering arm joints. I measured and a 2" wheel spacer would give the needed clearance, here is my questions:
1) Anyone had any pre-mature wheel-bearing failures occur due to using spacer or is this not really an issue?
2) Would a stock 98 Dodge Ram 2500 16" wheel give the needed clearance? Is there a difference in inside wheel diameter on a stock 98 Ram 2500 versus a 2001 wheel diameter that prevents this wheel rubbing?
Since these are 2001 wheels, I am wondering if I use the stock 98 Ram 2500 wheels, if this wheel rub would no longer be an issue.
Thanks for the help guys!
