I've been asked quite a few times now about how I ran my FASS 150/95 and continued to use my stock fuel heater. As a result, I've decided to do a write up on how I did it. Hope it helps !!
I started by removing the stock fuel ( lift ) pump and the line that goes from the lift pump to the fuel filter. I then ran the line from the FASS onto the port where the stock fuel line was before. FASS provides the fittings nessary to screw right in here.
Here you can see the FASS line ( the blue line ) in the rear and the stock line that goes from the fuel filter to the VP-44 directly in front of it.
Here's another angle ...
Here you can see another advantage of keeping the stock fuel filter housing. By keeping it in the loop, you now also have a place to screw in the sensor for your electronic fuel pressure gauge.
Here's a shot to what you'll need to do. Basically I wanted to still use the stock fuel filter housing, but I didn't want to use the stock fuel filter anymore. I didn't want another filter to maintain and more importantly I didn't want to add any restrictions on the FASS at all.
What you'll need to do is trim off the top of your stock old fuel filter because it holds the o-ring that seals the housing. It's not difficult, I just used a razor blade
A close up shot once it's all done ...
That's pretty much it. Before I re-installed the housing I filled it back up with diesel fuel ( to make it easier to start and to prevent having to bleed air out of the first cylinder ) and screwed it back on. Once it was all done, I now have a running pressure of about 14psi and have yet to see it drop below 12 psi. It may run a little higher if I replaced that 1 foot section of stock line from the filter housing to the VP-44 with the larger line, I dunno. I didn't have any more line to try ( FASS is pretty stingy with their hose ...

). Either way, I'm very happy with 14psi.
Hope this helps !!
