I drove my friend's 5.9L yesterday (same as mine, just not the 6.7) and it was definitely different.
Shifting his G56 seemed MUCH more solid than mine. Definitely a lot tighter, like there was less play, especially with the clutch.
Starts in 2nd seemed much more firm as well. Like if you dump the clutch it'd actually go...almost like it had better lower end response.
Power wise, I couldn't tell a difference. I did miss the EB though!!
