All I can say is get in writing :thumbsup, because the lifetime does not apply to diesel, SRT10 or vehicles for commercial use. The salesman was wrong, but let him document his claims about what he is offering for warranty. That way you have something to take back and negotiate with when he realizes he was mistaken.
