Having owned 4 5.9's and now the 6.7 , the 6.7 definately is here to stay. It is a great motor and pretty much has the bugs worked out already. If you research the listed problems, they are all the same and have been addressed for the most part. Considering that the 6.7 is way ahead of the emmissions requirements and running on so called "Bad Fuel", it still spanks the 5.9's with all the go fast goodies..... STOCK. Now that is an achievement considering that the 5.9 is undisputedly considered one of the finest diesel engines ever manufactured. As an added bonus.. the 6 spd auto tranny happens to rival the famed allison with honors. It not only feels good and smooth, but I am still to hear a complaint. We don't even have to spend much time mentioning the exhuast brake as it is in a league of it's own.
My comments are based on my experience of owning both motors.
So to all that are considering a 6.7, I say DON'T WORRY......BE HAPPY.
