On my 06', I am currently working on some AC problems. You can remove the compressor in 20-30 mins. Just evac your system and there are 4 13mm bolts, you'll need a socket with 12" extention to get the top 2 bolts and a 13mm wrench to get the bottom 2. The AC lines are held in by 1 10mm bolt, a wrench will work fine. Pull it out the bottom...pretty simple process.

There really is no telling what the problem is with your AC.....these have the worse system I have ever come across.
