I replaced my fuel sender in my '95 at about 155,000 miles and before I had run any biodiesel. I have now run B100 for all of the warm months for the last 17 months and as much BD as I can for the cool months (I'm in WI, ya know!). The truck now has 179,000 and the sender still works perfectly.
One serious difference that probably needs to be noted with biodiesel is homemade vs. station bought. If you buy it at a station, don't be too surprised if it does weird things. I've heard way too many stories of poor fuel at fuel stations; they cut corners to increase profit or something. Or just too large of batches to control well, I don't know (I won't be surprised one bit if methanol left in the fuel will dissolve a fuel sender).
I make all mine myself and run quality tests at various stages to ensure the best fuel I can do.
