I actually debated on getting a 07 Powerstroke as a friend of mine has a 06 F250 King Ranch with one and I really liked it when I would drive it. Had lots of power and I loved the interior. However, when I went and test drove the other two, I loved the dodge. Although rated at less hp and tq, there was a notable difference in how the truck had more grunt to it. The duramax would get up and go and was super fast feeling but it didn't have that low end grunt like the cummins. I had never owned a diesel pickup before and as far as brand loyalty would go, I had always had Chevy/GMC trucks. You should have seen the guys face at the dealership (they had all three - ford, dodge, and chevy) when I told him that I liked the dodge better. He said no one had ever driven all three and came back and said they liked the dodge better. The chevy and ford do, without a doubt, have a better interior as the dodge is quite dated. But when it came down to it, the dodge with the cummins (5.9) won hands down so that's what I went with. My friend with the powerstroke absolutely loves the way my truck drives, sounds, and pulls. Now I seriously doubt he'd go out and buy one (he is extremely loyal to Ford) but he gets a kick out of driving mine. Now with all that said...I think you should go with dodge...I've been extremely happy with mine. However, it's up to you and what you think suits your needs best. Go out and drive the ford and the dodge and see what you think you like best. I don't think the powerstroke is a bad engine I just think the cummins is better. Happy hunting
