I've been asking about the differences of the 7.3 and 6.0s and I have a mailbox full. I never get more than 2 posts on the Chevy forum with little help in them. That makes a big difference.

How many generations do the Cummins have?

What is an LP? (New to the diesel world).

The LP is the fuel lift pump. From 05 to current , they are mounted in the fuel tank. Ther are 3 generations of the Cummins....ummm mabe four now with the 6.7.....not sure. Look on the main board hear and you'll see the boards broken down by gen.'s. I know nothing about the 1st and second gen's , and I'm still learning on the thirds.
