HID's in the stock housing will produce a lot more usable light than halogens and if properly aimed you won't have problems with blinding on coming traffic. Before I had the ram I had HID's in my BMW and I know what you mean about how much better the light is. I installed the HID Solutions kit in my truck for both headlights and fog lights and haven't looked back since!
