Brand New 3500 DRW with AISIN!!!

Hi everyone I just bought a brand new 3500 DRW with the AISIN 17 miles on the odometer. I still have the truck in the sig below as a backup lol! Anyway it's the chassis crew cab model with a flatbed on it. I plan to use it primarily to pull my 40' fifth wheel camper weighing just under 18k loaded with the toys. I've done a lot of looking through posts on here about fuel mileage, def usage, etc along with everyone's issues that they're having. But I haven't seen a whole lot of info specifically on the AISIN and what real world results have been with it versus the 68RFE. Thanks in advance for any info you provide

Thanks! I can't wait to pick it up on Monday and put it to the test! Hmmm that brings me to another question now that I'm thinking about it. This is the first brand new diesel engine that I've owned what are the recommendations for breaking it in before towing heavy?

The owners manual says 500 miles for the truck and the diesel supplement says no break required for the engine.

My picture is to large to upload. Anyway thanks for the info. I pick it up Monday afternoon it's getting the bed installed right now. I'll be sure to post pics that are small enough when I get it back.

Still haven't heard from anyone what they think of the AISIN versus the 68RFE. Is there a difference in gearing between them? I.E. shorter or taller first gear, difference in the RPM at 65, smoother/rougher shifting etc

I will tell you 1st with the Aisin with 4.10 gears is almost to much. It stays in 1st for about a second before it shifts.

Awesome thanks for the info that makes me feel better about getting the 3.73 ratio. I was thinking the 4.10 was a little much for what I was doing and I would get better mileage with the taller gears.
