It doesn't come with the cord. You have to buy the cord seperate which is stupid.

Your dealer will have them but if you get on online to genos garage they have them cheaper. There is a plug on the bottom of the block heater they plug right into. I'm assuming on the 6.7's they are still on the block on the pass side of the block. Crawl under the truck and you should see it. Run the cord up through the bumper is where I put mine and fasten it with zip ties. It doesn't hang out and I put the plug where it's hidden yet I can still get my plug from my extension cord to it but I never use mine being I've never needed it because I've never had an issue starting it when it's below zero plus it draws a lot of electricity.

Depends on where you are from whether it has it or not. Cold weather states its usually there, not so much in the warm weather states. They come standard on every CTD sold in Canada.

They don't come on them here in ohio. Not saying that hasn't changed in the last couple years but everyone I know with them here had to buy them seperate. It would deffinetly be nice if they started coming with them here now.

I like the block heater not necessarily to make starting the truck but so I don't have to wait 15-20 min for the truck to reach op temp to get heat in the cab. If I plug in the truck, I can have cab heat in about 5 min or so.

Wait, so I pay for the optional "Cold Weather" package that includes the block heater and grill cover, but then I've got to buy the power cord to plug in between the block heater and my extension cord? They might as well sell me the truck for pennies, but make me pay $60k for the steering wheel and tires.
