2013 problem....

I just had the check engine light turn on around 2000 miles. I was told the other day by the dealer that it might come on for no reason. They had to change the water sprayer pump for the windshield sprayer. So where I'm getting is that now with the light that just turned on when I remote started the truck while getting ready to leave and go to work it just turned itself off. Then when I remote started it when getting off of work the truck ran for maybe a minute and turned off. When I got in the truck it started and ran just fine. Anyone know if the light being on for some unknown reason would cause the truck to turn its self off when remote started?

Thanks for any help.

Remote starts and shuts off if there are ANY code cels on or if the low fuel light is on.

Thanks. I had a feeling. Looks like it will be making the dreaded trip back to the dealer during the week.

My ranch is 150 miles from the dealer. Check engine lights, software patches and so on are very unfriendly to folks like us. One trip to the dealer is costly fuel and time wise.

For some of us, "running it over to the dealer" is not so easy. This was on my mind when trying to decide whether to order the 2013 or wait for a 2014.

Appreciate everyone posting how reliable their 2013s' are at the get go.
