By comparison, my wife's deleted '07 6.7 will turn in 20 MPG on flat highway at 65 MPG. At 75 MPH it drops down to between 17.5 and 18 MPG under the same conditions. Both numbers are with the Mini Max on mild tune.

It seems the truck likes 71 mph which is around 1700 (I think). Not sure if its starting to break in or I'm just learning to drive it better but mileage seems to be improving. Only 2200 miles and I haven't really pulled anything yet on the highway (other than 8k box trailer locally around 20 miles) so break-in is far from over.

It is funny to see constant 20 to 25 mpg or more on the lio-meter when cruising on the highway. Yes, I'm sure that is high but still it seems she does very well loafing along with the 3.42 on the highway. It's the around town stuff that is killing my true average. I do 50 or 60% highway cruising.

Towing with 3.42 ---- verdict still not in yet!

I finally played with Tow/Haul yesterday on a 150 mile trip. Putting her in T/H mode makes it stay in 6th even on hills that would have gone down to 5th without T/H on. Amazing to me.

I can only make it stay in 6th with the cruise set at 66 mph (where I normally drive in a 60 zone). Setting the cruise at 62 (where I normally drive in a 55 zone) does not hold 6th and it will still kick-down even with T/H on. I will note that my truck will only shift into 6th in T/H at 67 mph. I have felt the kick-down from 6th to 5th with the cruise at 66 mph was totally in the tune and the tune changes when T/H is turned on. The lag or delay is gone and the set cruise speed is held much closer, thus no kick-down.

Filled-up yesterday after driving with her in T/H. No towing this tank--just driving normal. 510.4 miles this tank divided by 27.314 gallons equals 18.686 mpg hand calculated. Evic said 21.0.

Here's a pic of miles/Evic since the truck was built as of yesterday (very little towing but I now have my GN hitch in the bed ).

We've got two GN's--a 20+5 Cornpro and a 30' Wabash with two 10K# axles. Our next trailer is a 16' 10K GVWR tag-along.

You get around Elkhart, IN picking-up a trailer, LMK and I'll buy you lunch. Tons of trailers and RV's are built right around my house. Crossroad RV's are built in Topeka and that's 12 minutes from my house.

Never realized that there was two different dash clusters?

Dealer Filled truck at 20 miles and I re-filled and hand calculated mpg at 420 miles. Evic showed 16.4 and the actual mpg was 15.7. That's all "around town" driving. Truck's a 13 Ram quad cab with G56 & 3.42s. Very happy with this truck and fuel mileage so far. Next fill up Ill try to remember to snap a picture of the evic.

Went through my first tank of fuel. EVIC said 16.2 average and hand calculated it turned out to be 15.7. All around town driving and I got a little heavy on the right petal a few times. I love this truck

Okay gang just finished my engine run in for 600 miles towing a 3-4 k car trailer and car though the hills of Central Pa, West Virgina / Maryland. The last leg I got 16.3 mpg a lot of hills and highway traffic. Average speed 60-70 mph. Over all for the 600 miles I got 15.3 mpg much better than my HEMI. a few thoughts with the manual tranny shifting up hills went well, I have to get use to the different sounds the engine and turbo make, and Ilove the exhaust brake- kept it in Auto the whole trip awesome.
One thing I will need to check with the dealer is when filling up with gas the capless nozzle made it difficult to add the diesel, keep on shutting off not sure why??
