Factory mess up

Hello All!

Well, my short story goes like this...On 4/17/17 I placed an order for a 2500 Laramie crew cab long bed in Bright White w/silver two tone.

On 4/20/17 I received my priced order confirmation with the vin# and it list the vehicle just as I ordered it

June 1st the vehicle arrives at the dealership. Shortly afterward my salesman sends me a picture. When I look at it, it had me scratching my head and asking myself what the hell am I looking at ? Now it happened to be a very overcast day but whatever the lighting and weather conditions were that day, silver shouldn't look that way. Being completely bewildered at what I was seeing, I called my salesman and asked what the story was. He immediately apologized and went on to say that they (the dealership) looked into the situation and the problem wasn't caused by them. So they called the district sales manager and he called FCA and they admitted the foul-up. They didn't know how or why it happened but it was definitely caused by Santillo.

FCA's remedies were:
1) if I was willing to take it as it was, they would give me a 5 year /100,000 mile $0 deductible mopar extended warranty.
2) paint the brown silver (which is out of the question)
3) order a new vehicle. (a 2018 since the order window for 2017's was closed)

I went with taking the RV match two tone. As shocked as I was when I first saw it, I really like it . I am partial to browns and probably would have ordered it if it was available when I placed my order.

Sooooo......If you like the brown, keep the truck and the free warranty......Though you could do a fake disgruntled customer and tell them you want the 8/120-zero deduct maxcare warranty to make you whole again.

Orrrrrrr.....Tell them you'll do an identical 2018 truck for the same dollars you were going to pay for the 2017......

Yeah, I agree. There are alot of white/silver 4th gens out there. This combo is a welcome change. Since it came out so late in the production year there certainly wont be many 2017's looking like that.

I think it looks great.

I really like white with two-tone and I really like that color down low.

To clean up the look more, consider doing the black vinyl delete. To MY eye, it clashes with the brown down low.

The brown looks great! Some day when my lower paint gets trashed I'm going to add a two tone effect. Maybe charcoal, but now maybe brown...

The only way I'd do a 26x16 is with a 12 inch wide tire and a Carolina squat. I'd be swimming in kitty.

I think it looks better than the color combo you ordered. I'd keep it.
