Wtf- $5 for a freekin fuse?

Traced my non-working trailer lights to a blown/bad fuse. Cool, I think just go grab a pack of them. What tool came up with the idea to engineer a $5 freekin fuse that blows as easily as a 50 cent one?

Ive bought some expensive fuses b4, but they are like super-slow blow types for sensitive equipment.

Unbelievable!

Buy a bulk pack from amazon... You can get several of each (mini, micro, Jcase etc) for like 30$

I've had my trailer fuse blow 3x already. Luckily I don't have a sunroof so I just pulled that fuse and it got me home the first time. The dealer wants $12 per fuse and I found them at my local parts sore for $3 per. I asked the same question with the dealer parts guy "what kind of an a$$hat designs a $12 per fuse system?"

The only way I'd do a 26x16 is with a 12 inch wide tire and a Carolina squat. I'd be swimming in kitty.

Yeah, I agree,, really stupidly priced. I tried finding some fuses locally when I needed one, and it was like I was driving an exotic sports car or something... Managed to find a couple at a mechanic shop, paid like $25.. Lol... Gone are the days when you can just get a fuse at a gas station.....

oil filter for my diesel jeep grand cherokee is around $60 at the dealer. These are consumable parts and meant to generate revenue for dealers. Looked into why their aren't many after market filters for this vehicle and seems to be related to finding ways around the patent for the filter.
