SCR Recall on 3500's

I recently downloaded the My Ram App. Typed in my VIN and sure enough said 1 Recall incomplete. The FCA recall number is T05 dated March 30, 2017 for the Selective Catalytic Reduction System. It also says Campaign status Incomplete but repair parts are not available. So I called the dealer and they said this recall is in the works but has not been confirmed if they will replace all or inspect first and replace if needed. Just wanted all the 3500 guys to keep an eye out for a recall notice in the mail.

Yes its legit. My 2015 went in for a emission code and it had a rapid response recall notice on the SCR. No parts were available so they didn't do it. My guess would be no one has parts to do the recall.

I had this recall done on my 3500 over two weeks ago. Parts were available then. Replaced the SCR, "catalytic converter " as they call it on the paperwork. and removed sensor.

Do you notice any difference in mileage/ the way the truck runs at all? Thought I saw something about decreasing mileage for the 2500s

I believe it runs the same. No difference in driving that I can tell. I haven't noticed a mileage difference. I also had the torque converter replaced due to the TSB, can't tell a difference from that either

I learned of this recall on April 5th while having my front axle seals replaced at the dealership.

The difficult part is......through 231k miles, I've never had an emissions related CEL come on my truck.

Should I take it in....or skip it altogether???? Decisions.....decisions.....decisions

Lucky you..... I'd just keep on truckin. I doubt there's a time limit on this recall "campaign". So if it happens or you sell at some point, deal with it then.

Mine basically had it done on the P20EE issues. SCR replaced, delete one sensor, reprogram. Replaced in April 2016, about 30k miles ago now. No issues since then. Same mpg, same DEF usage, nothing at all different noted. So even though mine shows up when checking it on their site by VIN, I wonder if they would actually replace it again? I think I'm just going to keep that in my back pocket for now and keep on truckin myself!
