So last year I traded in my 2012 2500 CC CTD that I had lifted and a second gen swap done on for a 2015 1500 Rebel, While the rebel is a great truck in its own respects, something has been missing.

The lease is now up on my wifes 2014 1500 and she wants the rebel, so I am looking at a 2016 2500 MC CTD.

First off these appear to be night and day different than the 2012 was. Interior is refined, these now have the exhaust fluid, different suspension setup etc. So looking for some feedback on how they are performing.

I also see since I have been gone that there are now deletes for them and programmers and mods that were available while I had my 2012 which is why I bought it. With that being said whats the best delete kit out their right now and programmer setup. I had the Mini Maxx with custom engine and trans tunes on the last one.

Thanks for the info and glad to be coming back to the family.

I'll comment on the front suspension. It is WAY better than the previous setup. Much tighter and less flex, so the truck tracks straight over uneven surfaces and larger tires don't bother the handling.

If you are getting a SRW and don't need the 3500, the coil suspension on the 2500 looks very nice. I have the 3500 SRW and it is stiff.

If you plan on tuning, the Dodge 68RFE will allow you to program, but the Aisin doesn't.

Thanks for the reply, the new suspension really looks to provide an overall better experience that it did on the 2012. As far as deletes are concerned is there a full delete kit out there? I had the sinister one on the 2012 and it removed everything. anyone run the RaceMe Ultra for a programmer?

There are two options for deleting the newer trucks EFI Live or RaceMe. I run EFI Live via PPEI and love it. Just do some research and see what fits you better. If you plan on doing further upgrades other than just deleting than I would highly recommend EFI Live as it is custom tuning and your tuner can dial your tunes in for the upgrades you do. The only down side to EFI Live is you must unlock your ECM with a bullydog first where is RaceMe you don't. Also like to add that EFI Live has trans tuning for the 68rfe where is at this point and time RaceMe just has increased line pressure. Here is some links to RSD to give you an ideal of the prices and also some links to read up on.

OP, most deleted the 12's and older for better gas mileage. The 13+ trucks get better gas mileage than a deleted 12 and older truck. Just throwing that out there if the only reason you have for deleting is for the mileage. Also, if you're going to lease this truck, I would highly suggest against deleting it. If anything happens to the truck and warranty won't cover it or you get flagged, you'll never be able to give back the truck or trade it in.
