What is this?

This is a pix of the overhead console on a 2012 3500. You see the done lights then the switch to open the rear window then something that looks like a camera lens then the buttons to open the garage doors etc.

So what's the camera lens looking thing?

Yep, it is an LED light that lights up the upholders and storage bin on your lower console. You may not have even noticed that they have a gentle green glow to them at night.

I was told it was the sensor for the climate control. Like during remote start or auto temp setting, put your hand over it, your cup holders will still have the green glow. I'm no expert but it makes sense to me.

I don't think it's a light. A sensor of some type.

Mine is a lil green light that lights up the numbers and lines on my gear shifter.

I always thought it was the sensor location for a remote that would be used for the rear entertainment system.

LOL ...... i cant see the pics but i know on my girlfriends 2010 ram1500 r/t its a little green light that shines down on the center consol, not a sensor.
