I have the red lightning bolt on the dash. When in 6th gear it will cut out like i took my foot off the throttle, but dont do it everytime. Also, the cruise control wont work. What could this be? The truck is completely stock with 18k miles..

That's the electronic throttle control, had that light come on on my 03 hemi! Turned out to be the throttle body, but that's on a gasser!

Had the same issue when my truck was new, there are a few posts about it in the forum. The brake light switch inadvertantly gets a signal causing the Electronic throttle control light( lighning bolt) to come on and cut engine power to almost none. The code it throws is brake applied with throttle on. The brake light switch can be sensitive enough when its real new that even a rough raod can jiggle it enough to apply voltage , also causing cruise control to shut down. After about 5000 miles the problem went away due to switch loosening up a bit and not being ultra sensitive. Other guys having the same problem had it happen only when new and problem went away with use.

I know it only happens for about ten seconds, maybe once a week, ussually on uphill pull. If that is what you are asking ..hard to tell the way you wrote it OP never said light was on all the time
Be nice if the OP would post up some details to clarify if light is coming on and going off or on all the time. Is cruise working intermittantly or not at all.
the light does not stay on... its fine sometimes. The cruise worked once today but then quit again, and the trailer brake box is flashing sometimes to?
