Installed Pro-Tech Headache Rack Today

Shop called me this morning letting me know my rack was in
For warranty reason they installed it (took 2 seconds)
I wired it though... for anybody wondering.. I thought I saw someone saying they were going to look & see what colored wires for what...
Here they are..

Driver side marker = white w/light green stripe
Driver side brake&signal = white w/dark green stripe

Passenger side marker = white w/purple stripe
Passenger side brake&signal = white w/yellow stripe

Reverse lights = white w/red stripe
*NOTE* there are 2 wires which are white w/red stripe
the one that works is the larger gauge wire (14 I think) with the thicker stripe

I did common ground beneath the truck..

Thought I would throw out this info IF someone WAS looking for it...
Before I get yelled at.. My camera is at the office & truck is filthy... so I will post pics on Monday!!

I would think that you could have done more damage wiring the thing than drilling the 4 holes to mount the thing. Can you elaborate what part of your warranty could have been effected by drilling holes in the bed rail of your truck please?

Cant wait for pics...love my Pro Tech!

Rack was purchased thru Les Scwab's.. Because all the products they sell are warranteed in ALL there locations... they are required to install.. & since Pro-Tech carries a 2 yr warranty... Schwab's was required to install..

Sorry... didn't mean the Dodge warranty... Even tho I'm sure they will try to tell me SOMEHOW?? It will void my warranty..

Nope.. You're far from the 1st to guess that tho
It's actually a 92 with the same combo as the 7up version..
I picked it up from a guy who "stole it" from the original lady owner..
70k orig. miles.. Pretty much stock.. K&N cone.. Flowmaster cat-back.. & Eiabach pro-kit sitting in the garage I'll put in this winter..

& I don't know about the difference in heigth on the racks.. I ordered for 2010so... I'd like it to sit a hair lower.. & slant more with the cab.. but I'm happy with it..

Looks great, it does maybe look a little taller than others I've seen but so long as height isnt an issue that shouldn't matter and it'll be easier should you fit lights. The heavy duty wide tube racks like yours are the ones to get for sure.

Two questions:
1. Any plans to match it up with front and rear bumper replacements?
2. How come you went Pro-Tech not Ranch Hand? When I have the time to fit it I'm going to order a hr rack and front and rear bumpers but haven't really compared the different brands, I just know it'll be one of these two.

grats again on the rack and sweet '10- 3500 CCLB?

I have always been a big Pro-Tech fan.. Plus they are a local company which I like supporting..
I have no plans on doing a ranch hand style bumpers.. I work in a professional industry so truck needs to somewhat follow that as it is used to take clients from time to time.. I will color match the bumpers one of these days.. & would love to get rid of the chrome on the mirrors & door handles.. but for know it's fine.. I am also waiting for someone to come out with a good looking & fitting black wheel to wheel step..
