Jumpy idle

Idling and stopped the rpm will jump up 100rpm or dip down 100rpm every once and awhile maybe every 10 seconds. Any ideas?

That is normal it can be the alternator or AC compressor engaging and disengaging.

Hmm never thought of that. I having noticed any hissing it's a straight pipe so it's hard to hear but I'll look. Just driving home now the idle will drop or raise enough to turn the exhaust brake off and on at idle

Power steering is good, nothing out of the ordinary. Yesterday stopped at a light with the engine brake on it sounded like a lope idle it was engaging and disengaging. Changed the fuel filter ran injector cleaner and still no change :doh:

the EB was engaging and disengaging? i've noticed at certain temps the computer will switch maps alot at idle and cause a change in engine noise

What about, returning to the stock tune.
To see if your tune is the issue...
