I screwed up

Went to the gas station to fill up my mower gas can. I ended up putting 1/2 gallon in my tank. My tank was full over 30 gallons. Is this 1/2 gallon of gas going to create issues?

You should be ok. If want to be cautious let it get down to a 3/4s of a tank and fill it back up. You can do this a couple of times to further dilute the gas.

That small amount won't hurt a thing. On old VW diesels, they recommended blending gas with the diesel for winter driving.

Add a pint of two stroke oil and drive it and never look back.
