My 04 is surging at idle

I just bought an early 04 and it has the air dog 100 pump on it. It has this heavy surge or pulse at idle that makes the truck bounce. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue!

I had the same issue, turned out it was the FCA (fuel control accuator) go to cummins dealer with your vin number. They will look it up the part, from cummins it was $125.00!! The Local con artist dodge dealer wanted $292.00.... It's a simple repair you can do it your self, #25 torc driver. do it from underneath the truck it will be much easier!! mike

Could be fuel injectors, FCA, fuel filter. Search around here, there are many many posts about this, you've got some learnin' to do.
