Using oil !!!!!!

My truck has 13k miles on it and it seems i keep having to add oil. Now i notice that my oil pressure dropped every time i come to a stop and it idles. I checked it when i got home and and it did not have any on the dip stick. Since its dark i did not do a visual inspection. I put some quarts that i had hoping i can go buy oil tomorrow morning. These are checks i was going to do any help i would be thankful for.

1 check my turbo the exhaust side and intake. make sure its not pushing into my inner-cooler ( II 64/74/14 ) maybe like 40k on that turbo

2 Change oil and filter and cut open the filter look for metal in filter and run my pinky in the drain hole look for metal ( no jokes) lol

3 look at my exhaust manifold look for oil.

Motor is new has 13k no blow by still good and tight.

Well it looks like its coming from my rear main seal. I hope so it sounds cheaper then doing rings or anything of that nature.

I dont think is normal to add oil every 5k or 6k unless you the it has a lot of miles or something and needs to be rebuilt. I dont know though. My truck had 123k and i never had to add oil but i change it every 5k. Now i just rebuilt the motor put new block with new pistons and rings like 10k miles. I using oil a lot maybe its breaking in good lol.

Leakey is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Vanderpool is neat awesome i like towns that only have a post office and a corner store

I have 116,000 miles on my truck and I've never added one ounce of oil in between changes. That dealer guy is full of it!
Just out of curiosity why did you rebuild the engine? Was it rebuilt at 123,000 miles or...?

I had #1 injector stay open melted my piston and did so more damage. So i decided to rebuild it. The only thing i regret not doing is coating my pistons. So i put new body II injectors and new block new pistons ,cam push rods and springs and did a lot of work. Cody at west texas did most of the internal work i just took the engine out and put it in.
