If someone has a battery problem, do you guys give a jump start to another truck with your Dodge? Is there a special way to do this without damaging the Truck's electronics or such?
I would rather give some one a AAA call of mine or a drive to get a new battery for themselves. I have replaced my ECM that went out for no apparent reason so i would never risk that happening from jumping or being jumped.
You probably won't have a problem, till you jump a battery with a short, ( plates touching in battery ) or a grounded + that killed it ,,it's a well known safety deal to protect the jump vehicle and the people
Getting the polarities wrong is not the only thing that can happen. I think the voltage spike is the worst part.
