delivery valve install, with pics!

ok, so i didnt see a tech article about how to install delivery valves, so i took a bunch of pics and i'll do a writeup for us!

ok, to get started, make sure you have a clean workspace.(common sense i know)
for tools you'll need:
-ratchet
-extension
-10mm socket(intake horn)
-11mm deep socket (for intercooler boot clamp)
-19mm wrench for injection lines
-delivery valve socket (specialty tool, can be purchased from PDP or geno's, about 35 bucks)
magnet or needle nose pliars (to pull DV's from barrel)
ok, now lets get started:

1. remove valve cover and intake horn and disconnect the grid heater wires (you'll need to do this to pull off your injection lines)
remove your injection lines and set them on a CLEAN surface(to prevent dirt contamination, you'll also need to take the bolts out of two clamps on each side of the grid heater that are bolted into the manifold) when that is done it should look like this:

2.now take your delivery valve socket and remove the #1 DV holder (im pulling the #2) CAUTION! be careful to not lose the spring and filler piece from the holder.

you should have these pieces when the DV holder comes out:

3: ok, now you can pull the DV out of the barrel. when you look down the barrel you should see this:

take your needle nose pliars and grab the top of the DV in the center of the last picture, it will look like this when you pull it out (sorry about the bad picture)

4k, now pull the other piece of the DV out, it will look like this:

5. just for comaprison, the 181 DV in on the left, the 191 is on the right. the assembled delivery valve will look like these examples:

the other 5 DV's will look exactly the same. another word of caution, DO NOT LOOSEN THE TWO NUTS ON EITHER SIDE OF EACH BARREL!!!! that controls the balance of fuel between the cylinders. if there is anything i missed, please post it and i'll put it in my original post, thanks guys and happy tuning!
