This is just an educated guess.... I believe that stock is around 17-1900. And my suncoast, which is a lower stall, is around 14-1600 rpms. I can't stall mine much more than 14-15 cause it starts to break loose. I had the same prob with my 67 Dart with a 2500stall 727, I couldn't stall it more than 2000-2200 rpms cause it starts to break loose. With a trans break you could flash it to the stall speed if you had enough power (on a gas motor).
