Yeap... A bad lift pump will KILL a VP44 in a short order...

This is why all of us will HIGHLY SUGGEST...

1. Get a fuel pressure gauge and ALWAY keep the pressure above 10 PSI.
2. Get a fuel system upgrade like FASS or AirDog soon.

Running a truck with loow to ZERO fuel pressure is like running a engine with a dead oil pump. The only thing that lubricates the VP44 is fuel so if you don't have enough fuel pressure/volume that VP44 is metal to metal contact with all internal parts...
