Hankook ATMS

Well I finally got to test out my new 315/70r17 hankook atms on a weekend camping trip. These tires performed great in all conditions. I was pulling about 8500 pounds behind me and noticed a pretty big diff in power going from the 265s to 315s. Fuel mileage really wen to down also. I ended up not using overdrive and that really killed the mpgs, but it was shifting too much trying to do 70 mph, so I just backed down to 65 out of od and was running at 2300 rpms. When I got to the mountains the road to my cabin site was a muddy mess. The grade is tough on dry roads, so when I saw how muddy it was, I thought there was no way to make it up. I started in 4 hi and ended up getting stuck half way up. Backing up a 26 ft trailer in very slick mud down a very steep grade is not very easy. After I backed down enough to get another run at the hill, and a little battle wound to the camper( Smashed the front of the camper into the side of the mountain), I tried again in 4 low, and jumped on it. the hankooks performed excellent. If you spin the hell out of these tires they will clean out very good. I wish I would of taken a pic of the hill that the truck with these tires pulled the camper up. I was amazed. The hankooks have deff proved to be a great all around tire. I also noticed that I get the best ride at 50 psi all the way around with the trailer or without. One question? If I get a smarty jr. will I get back what I lossed with the 315s powerwise on the 60 hp setting. Also is the jr good for towing? Have stock tranny so dont want to go to big.
