Exhaust separated

I have a 2007 Quad Cab 4x4. I had the Aero Tubine 4040XL installed down from the converter....Today I had some friend in the truck, I accelerated in Extreme mode from about 30 mph to showoff a little. Well I though the tranny slipped on me....but I noticed my power seemed alot different...and it sounded louder...

When I got home, I climbed under the truck, the exhaust separated at the most forward clamp, where the downpipe connects to the pipe going in to the converter, it was completly out. So I called the place that installed my Aero muffler, he said he never loosened that clamp, that he cut the old muffler out and welded in the Aero.

I looked at his work as I did after he did it, he had nice welds, his hangers needed some work. I loosened the clamp where the exhaust separated. I slid the back part of the exhaust forward back on the downtube...the downtube is the male, the pipe going in to the converter is the female.

It looks to me as that during manufacturing of my truck they barely had the two slid together and put the clamp on and not very tight as there was no 'squeeze' marks in the pipe.

I pushed it back in as far as I could and clamped back down. I had to move the clamp closer to the joint of the two, when I did, the clamp then hits the cross member, I think thats why they had the clamp back further, as it would sit against the cross member and i'm guessing I'm going to get a little rattling from it.

Anyways, I clamped it back down, sealed up, ran it somewhat hard for a bit, doesn't leak.

Anyone else have this problem on their truck from the factory? It seems that the converter is not sitting perfectly in the groove in the cross member and that it also rests against it, which I wouldn't have thought it would. It could also be from the muffler install as he had to make new hangers. I don't really like how he did the hangers, but other than that he did well.

Just wondering if anyones exhaust has separated on them?
