Not pushing Opti-Lube just stating my experience.
Dynamics of additives causes engine noise variables, not neccessarily lube quality. It might not be added lubricity that's changing engine noise louder or less.

Changing timing with a programmer or module will change the engine noise. Adding things to your fuel like off the shelf additives, 2 stroke oil, gasoline, will change the dynamics of your engine through the chemical change it produces in your fuel and the inherient causes of effect on an engine designed for a specific fuel. This extra or less noise doesn't mean extra or less wear. It has to be determined where the extra or less noise is coming from and why the noise has changed to determine the out come.
