A lot of guys are using an old mud flap to isolate the HPFP bracket off the bed. This, i have heard, makes a huge difference. As for the pump its self, we talked to our motor guy. He said that the brushes in the motor take about 40-60 hrs of run time to "ware in" to the motor armature. Its basically a flat brush wearing to a curved surface. The resistance is high at first, but then as the brushes ware in, the resistance drops and the motor should be less noisy. BUT our pumps will make some noise. .
