Safe EGT and Boost.

I just installed a Edge Juice w/Attitude, and a AirAid CAI kit. As well as getting ready to install a RBP DPF Back Exhaust.

I currently have the Juice on Level 2, with Medium response, and wow... what a difference...

Questions:

What is considered the safe EGT on these motors, from previous experience experience on the Gen 3's it was 1350, but these new motors with the DPF operate higher by default.

Right now I have the Juice set to defuel at 1350 EGT, and alert me at 32lbs of boost.

I know when I add the RBP exhaust I will loose about 100-150 degrees of EGT.

Right now if I mat it hard and around 2300-2500rpm, she will hit 1376 degrees for a moment and then back down withing a second or two, but the Attitude alerts me (as it should).

What are your experinces regarding this?

The max for shot bursts is around 1600*, max sustained EGT is about 1250*. As far as boost I am not too familiar with the VGT on the 6.7 but I would say high 30s to low 40s.

Considering i never ran mine hard with the emissions intact im not sure but many 6.7 owners have taken it near 1700 degrees for short intervals. I personally have my defuel setting at 1500 degrees. Sorry to break it to you but that DPF back exhaust was a waste of money. You will not see any power, sound, or egt drop from doing it.

Alls I have seen is 31, I havn't really looked, but a turbo that big and as much fuel as I am pushing, a guy should see a lot higher, must be wastegated, as my 03 w/ a boost fooler would run up to 36. As far as egts go, the regen system runs at around 1400 when driving hills, so I am pretty sure 1500-1600 isn't too bad for it, as long as you arent doing this for like 20 miles. I got rid of my governor w/ the pmt and with my 35's my truck will run almost 140mph, I was defueling at 1650, b/c aluminun starts to melt at around 1700, I wouldn't like to see stuf just turning into a black blob of sh!t in my engine bay

I've hit 36 or 37 on mine with the PMT set on Extreme. The highest I've seen my EGTS go was 1550*

I havent seen over 32 for boost and that was only for a split second. EGTs are ok up to 1600 for short times.

I have my settings maxed...and my Turbo has seen 44 psi. But I think my intercooler allows the boost to climb.
